ELITE HERITAGE ASSETS

Where numismatics meets
the art of the Renaissance courts
EHA identifies, contextualises, and positions historically significant coins, medals, manuscripts, and artefacts for private collectors, family offices, cultural institutions, and luxury brand partners.
We operate at the intersection of numismatic expertise, Renaissance art scholarship, and dynastic cultural narrative — a synthesis that exists nowhere else in this market.

-ABOUT EHA-
The world's most significant heritage assets
are systematically undervalued
A Renaissance medal struck for a Medici duke commands a fraction of the price of a minor canvas from the same court, the same century, the same circle of patronage.
A papal medal bearing a portrait by Cellini trades at a level that would be inconceivable for a Cellini bronze of equivalent artistry.

A gold sovereign issued by Henry VII— the dynastic founder of Tudor England — is handled as a numismatic specimen when it should be understood as an artefact of sovereign ambition, political theatre, and the artistic programme of an emerging nation-state.
The market sees metal.
We see monuments.
This asymmetry exists because the numismatic market has historically lacked the art-historical scholarship, the cultural fluency, and the narrative intelligence to position these objects where they belong:
...alongside the paintings, sculptures, and architectural commissions of the same dynasties, the same courts, the same creative epoch.

A medal from the court of Lorenzo de’ Medici was designed by the same goldsmiths who trained Botticelli, cast by the same foundries that produced Donatello’s bronzes, and commissioned by the same patron whose cultural ambition defined the Florentine Renaissance.

...to treat it as anything less than a work of art
is to misunderstand what it is.
Elite Heritage Assets corrects this.
We bring the full weight of Renaissance art scholarship, dynastic history, and court-culture expertise to bear on material that the conventional market has never known how to read. We establish the complete cultural, artistic, and historical significance of each asset — and we place it with collectors and institutions who recognise that significance and value it accordingly.
We call this cultural arbitrage.
It is the founding principle of everything we do.

-JONATHAN MANN-
FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL
Jonathan Mann founded Elite Heritage Assets on a conviction that the world’s finest numismatic material deserves to be understood, presented, and valued as what it truly is: works of art forged at the heart of Europe’s greatest creative courts.
That conviction is grounded in twenty years of institutional experience at the highest levels of the numismatic world. Jonathan’s career was forged at Spink & Son — one of the oldest and most respected numismatic houses in the world — alongside tenures at Noonans of Mayfair and the London Mint Office.
He has handled some of the most significant numismatic discoveries in the United Kingdom, including the Lenborough Anglo-Saxon Hoard, the world-record Henry VII Tudor Sovereign, and the celebrated Lord and Lady Stewartby collection.
Allied to that numismatic foundation is a deep and practised knowledge of Renaissance art and the great patronage courts of Europe. Jonathan’s scholarship encompasses the courtly dynasties Renaissance Italy and the papacy — the Medici of Florence, the Sforza-Visconti of Milan, the Gonzaga of Mantua, the d’Este of Ferrara, Modena and Reggio, the Farnese, and the della Rovere — as well as Valois and Bourbon France, Habsburg Europe, and Tudor England.
He understands these objects not as numismatic specimens but as products of the same artistic culture that produced the frescoes of Raphael, the sculptures of Michelangelo, and the architectural triumphs of Brunelleschi.
This marriage of numismatic expertise and Renaissance court scholarship is what makes EHA singular.
It is the lens through which every asset is identified, every provenance is constructed, and every placement is made. No conventional numismatic dealer, auction house, or advisory practice operates at this intersection.

-SERVICES-
EHA serves private collectors, family offices, estate managers, cultural institutions, and luxury brand partners across five disciplines.
IDENTIFICATION
We recognise heritage material whose cultural and artistic magnitude far exceeds its current market positioning. Where the conventional market sees a coin, we see the dynasty that struck it, the artist who designed it, and the political theatre it was made to serve.
This capacity to read objects through the lens of Renaissance court culture — to see the relationship between a medal, its patron, its engraver, and the wider artistic programme of its court — is EHA’s foundational skill.
SCHOLARSHIP
Twenty years of institutional numismatic expertise married to deep knowledge of Renaissance art, court patronage, and dynastic history. This dual fluency — in the material culture of coins and medals and in the artistic world that produced them — allows us to establish the full significance of each asset in a way no conventional dealer, auctioneer, or generalist advisor can. We draw on art history, political history, metallurgy, iconography, and the primary sources of the Renaissance courts themselves.

NARRATIVE ARCHITECTURE
We construct the cultural and scholarly narrative that transforms an object from an artefact into a monument — connecting it to the great courts, artists, and dynastic architects of European history.

We draw the line from the coin in your hand to the fresco on the wall, the sculpture in the piazza, the political alliance that reshaped a continent. This narrative is the restoration of context that the object has always possessed and the market has always missed.

Most heritage assets carry a story that the market has omitted to tell.

POSITIONING & PLACEMENT
We place heritage assets — understood and presented as fine objets d’art and objets de vertu — into the private wealth, institutional, and luxury markets where their true value is recognised.

Our clients include private collectors building legacy holdings, family offices seeking culturally significant tangible assets, cultural institutions acquiring material of scholarly importance, and luxury brands seeking heritage partnerships grounded in authentic cultural authority.

STEWARDSHIP
We guide our clients toward a relationship with heritage that echoes the great Renaissance collectors themselves — Isabella d’Este assembling her celebrated studiolo, Lorenzo the Magnificent curating the cultural identity of Florence, Cosimo I de’ Medici building the Uffizi as a monument to dynastic prestige.

The acquisition of a heritage asset, properly understood, is an act of cultural stewardship — an investment in legacy that transcends the transactional.
